A Firm Foundation is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, and use of this Platform does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and A Firm Foundation or any of its representatives.
The Platform provides educational resources and guided interactive tools intended to help California tenants understand general legal concepts, procedures, and potential issues related to their tenancy. Nothing on the Platform should be construed as legal advice specific to your situation. For advice regarding your individual legal circumstances, you should consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. Any AI-generated text, screening result, draft document, or template provided by the Platform is general educational material only and must be independently reviewed and verified before you rely on it, file anything in court, or make legal decisions.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to safeguard your login information.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store or have access to your full payment card information. Prices for products on the Platform are subject to change at any time without notice, though changes will not affect products already purchased. Access to a purchased product is granted upon successful payment confirmation. All purchases are one-time purchases that grant permanent access to the corresponding product.
All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds once a purchase has been completed, regardless of whether the corresponding tool or resource has been accessed. Please review product descriptions carefully before purchasing.
Upon purchase, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the corresponding product for your own personal, non-commercial use related to your own tenancy matter. You may not copy, redistribute, share, resell, sublicense, or upload our products or any portion of their content to any other platform.
All content on the Platform — including but not limited to text, forms, worksheets, guides, software, interactive tools, branding, graphics, and design — is owned by A Firm Foundation and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may use the Platform's tools only for lawful purposes related to your own personal legal matters. Use of the Platform on behalf of another person, for a commercial purpose, or in connection with the unauthorized practice of law is prohibited.
The Platform does not encourage, promote, facilitate, or advise users to occupy, enter, remain upon, or interfere with any property without lawful authorization, and does not encourage, promote, facilitate, or advise users to violate any federal, state, or local law. The Platform's tools and resources are intended solely to help tenants understand their rights and obligations under applicable law and to prepare lawful responses in their own cases.

Legal outcomes depend on the specific facts of each case, applicable law, the conduct of opposing parties, and the decisions of courts and judges — none of which we control. Use of the Platform's tools, resources, or any output they generate does not guarantee any particular outcome in any legal matter.
The Platform and all content, tools, and resources are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
Certain tools on the Platform use artificial intelligence and prewritten templates to generate summaries, screening results, draft documents, or other output. AI and templates can make mistakes, omit important facts, or give outdated information, and their output must be independently reviewed before you rely on it, file anything in court, or make legal decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, A Firm Foundation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform. In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed the lesser of (a) the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless A Firm Foundation, its founder, and its representatives from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your misuse of the Platform or your violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms.
The Platform relies on third-party service providers, including Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (database and authentication), and Vercel (hosting). Each of these providers has its own terms of service and privacy policy.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Platform, or any product or service offered by A Firm Foundation shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and A Firm Foundation regarding your use of the Platform.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Platform, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
